Key players in Transforming Health face Parliamentary questioning

The Weatherill Government’s highly contentious Transforming Health program and three of its key players will be grilled by a Parliamentary committee this morning.

“18 months into Transforming Health there is still no information regarding how many jobs will be lost, how many hospital beds will close and where key services will be located,” said Shadow Minister for Health Stephen Wade.

“I’ll be expecting these critical facts to be placed on the record today.  Failure to provide this information will confirm fears that the program is in complete shambles.

“Vickie Kaminski, the Acting Chief Executive of SA Health, Dorothy Keefe, the Clinical Ambassador for Transforming Health and Sinead O’Brien, former Executive Director Policy & Commissioning of SA Health, need to be open and clear with the people of South Australia.

“Transforming Health is performing radical surgery on Adelaide hospital system and the public have the right to know exactly how it will affect their access to healthcare.”
